“THE PILLARS OF THE EARTH, THE MUSICAL” AT THE EDP GRAN VÍA THEATRE

From November 14, 2024 to March 2, 2025, the EDP Gran Vía Theater in Madrid hosts “ The Pillars of the Earth, the musical ”, a spectacular adaptation of Ken Follett's novel.

With the motto “ you’ve read it, you’ve seen it, and now you’re going to feel it ”, this production aims to transform the literary phenomenon into a unique theatrical experience, fusing immersive technology, live music and an epic plot of passion and ambition, all set in medieval England in the 12th century.

This musical brings to stage the story of Tom Builder and his struggle to build a majestic Gothic cathedral in the small town of Kingsbridge .

Directed by Dario Regattieri and Iván Macías , the play is presented as a completely immersive experience. The staging includes 360º projections, surround sound and a team of more than 70 professionals who bring the scenes to life with special effects and fencing choreography.
