On March 12 and 13, Atelier Couture will celebrate its 11th edition at the Palacio de Santoña, headquarters of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, with a program of fourteen fashion shows, eighteen collections and three exhibitions, which will serve as inspiration and show the high value that As for sewing and high craftsmanship, it is treasured under what is made in Spain. Creations by established and emerging designers who carry excellent craftsmanship as their flag, representing the rich artisanal tradition that exists in our country.

“Craftsmanship of excellence” is a concept that defines the work carried out by each of the creators who present their collections at Atelier Couture, through the creation of garments made with a manual process, to which special attention is paid to all the aspects and details of clothing, such as design, fabrics, finishes and sewing. Items of clothing that, stitch by stitch, become authentic jewels. Exceptional works that are given months of work, which depends on the hands of seamstresses and the performance of the designer to guarantee an impeccable result. A job that involves a high degree of emotionality and empathy with the client, in order to be able to make very personal pieces that become the continuation of each person who orders them, adapted to their personality and what they want to project on the day of your wedding, or at a special event.

The program of the 11th edition of Atelier Couture will host a great diversity of artisanal proposals of the highest quality created for bridal fashion, ceremony, guest and exclusive events. Proposals that bring the artisanal tradition of crafts to the forefront, through diverse and inclusive options created for women, men, a genderless and agender audience.

Around the parades, in different spaces of the Santoña Palace you can visit the exhibitions of high craftsmanship, which their creators will personally present to the media and the attending public. Presentations of unique creations in which Lahuar will be present, a workshop that makes detailed pre-bridal proposals, with respect for pattern making and the good work of Sewing; Florencia Crafts will present exquisite creations of handmade embroidery and lace for bridal veils and mantillas, worked with procedures from inherited crafts; Calzados Franjul will show its exclusive footwear proposals and the way in which they create each piece, worked in the old-fashioned way in a completely artisanal way, combining tradition with innovative designs.

Atelier Couture has become the focus of collections that embrace modernity without giving up its artisanal roots. In its 11th edition, it stands as a reference platform that endorses the craft and creativity of Spanish sewing and high craftsmanship designers. An event to which more and more creators from different regions of our country are joining, each one with its own character, which each edition carries out ad hoc to present very heterogeneous works on the catwalk, thanks to the range of options that our culture provides, our customs and even the climate; factors that affect the characteristics of each dress, each suit and each accessory.

If there is something that defines excellent work in craftsmanship, it is not only the manufacturing processes, but also the combination of creativity, the craft and the client or the end client, forming a team that results in a unique piece, ensuring that The bride and groom feel involved and identified with the different values and emotions that a custom-made signature and design transmits.
