The 29th edition of PHotoESPAÑA continues with the opening of the exhibition "On the Geography of the River" by Linarejos Moreno at the National Archaeological Museum on Tuesday, June 16. The exhibition explores the relationship between image, knowledge, and territory, and will be open to the public free of charge until September 20.

Conceived as a site-specific intervention in the museum, the exhibition invites reflection on the construction of scientific and archaeological knowledge through the observation and interpretation of the landscape. Using large-format photography and the superimposition of layers, the Madrid-based artist explores the intersection between natural and human history, bridging contemporary artistic research with the museum's collections and reinforcing the dialogue between past, present, and future. Linarejos Moreno thus returns to the festival after receiving the PHotoESPAÑA Award for Best Photography Book in the Bibliophilia category in 2024 for *On the Geography of Green*.

Under the motto "Reimagine," the 29th edition of PHotoESPAÑA celebrates creativity, experimentation, and the exploration of the boundaries of photography. This year's program features the Netherlands as the guest country and brings together established names in photography alongside emerging talent. With nearly forty exhibitions in its Official Selection, the festival runs until September 13th and will encompass almost one hundred exhibitions and venues, showcasing 65% female artists, making it one of the most important photography events on the international scene.

The full program, schedules and updated information can be found on the official PHotoESPAÑA website.
