
Lavapiés celebrates the 15th edition of Tapapiés with more than 100 bars and 30 concerts.

From October 16 to 26 , the Madrid neighborhood of Lavapiés will be filled with flavors, music and life with the celebration of Tapapiés 2025 , the Multicultural Route of Tapas and Music , which this year reaches its fifteenth edition .
More than 100 bars and restaurants in the area will participate in this gastronomic event organized by the Lavapiés Merchants Association , in collaboration with Cerveza El Águila , which once again accompanies the event by offering tapas and beer for 3.50 euros .
A route with a multicultural accent
Tapapiés was born with the aim of reflecting the diversity of the neighborhood, one of the most diverse and international in Madrid. For ten days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a wide variety of tapas inspired by flavors from around the world, along with a musical offering that will fill the streets and squares of the neighborhood.
The activities will take place in the Arturo Barea, Nelson Mandela and Lavapiés squares, as well as in Argumosa and Miguel Servet streets, which will be transformed into authentic open-air stages during the festival.
Lucía Grávalos, godmother of the 2025 edition
Chef Lucía Grávalos , from the Desborre restaurant (recommended by the Michelin Guide 2025), will be the godmother of this edition. Recognized for her defense of sustainable cuisine and regenerative livestock farming , the Rioja-born chef will open Tapapiés on October 16 at 12:30 p.m. with a showcooking of local tapas , broadcast live on Instagram (@en_lavapies) .
In addition, the official song of Tapapiés 2025 will be presented during the opening ceremony, chosen by a jury from among various musical proposals.
Thirty free concerts and performances
Tapapiés' program includes thirty concerts, batucada bands, parades, and open-air children's shows , which will be held on the weekends of October 17-19 and 24-26 , as well as a new event on Wednesday the 22nd .
The line-up features 18 national and international bands , with styles ranging from Irish folk to Argentine tango , Brazilian bossa nova , American blues rock and French hot jazz .
Highlights include Bossa Pra Vocé , Trío Amado Tango , The Lighthouse Keeper , Alberto Menes and Alex Caporuscio , Blues Cavaliers , Borogodó , Más Madera , Suicide Hill , and Slide Guitar Experience , among others. The festive atmosphere will be rounded out by eight batucada and charanga bands and four children's shows .
Awards for the best tapas
As every year, Tapapiés will recognize the creativity of restaurateurs with three awards:
- The Golden Eagle Prize (First Prize): €2,000 (€1,500 in cash and €500 in shopping vouchers).
- Jury Prize (Second Prize): €1,500 (€1,000 in cash and €500 in vouchers).
- Audience Award (Third Prize): €300 in shopping vouchers.
In total, Tapapiés will distribute 3,800 euros in prizes thanks to the sponsorship of Cervezas El Águila . The awards ceremony will take place on October 27 at the San Fernando Market (41 Embajadores Street).

With fifteen editions under its belt, Tapapiés has established itself as one of Madrid's most anticipated autumn events. Its combination of international cuisine, live music, and street atmosphere makes each edition a reflection of the neighborhood's diverse and creative spirit.
For ten days, Lavapiés becomes a meeting point where the flavors of the world and the rhythm of music blend with the bustle of Madrid to offer a unique experience.
