From Thursday, June 18th to Sunday, June 21st, some twenty venues across the city will join forces to celebrate Music Day 2026, a series of live concerts organized by Madrid en Vivo with the support of the Madrid City Council. Four days of extensive and stylistically diverse programming, designed for all audiences to celebrate live music coinciding with European Music Day, which is celebrated every June 21st.
The series kicks off on Thursday the 18th with the presentation of alternative rock band Párpados' debut album at Café Berlín, alongside the tropical rhythms of Cumbiadelic at Intruso Bar and a double bill of Azul Perfecto and Pintura Espejo at Maravillas. On Friday the 19th, the offerings expand throughout the city, with pop-rock from Solber at Cadillac Solitario, rock from Las Edades Difíciles and Blinduck at Café La Palma, punk-rock from Tarzán and Motherpunkrs at Gruta 77, and many more options at venues like Moby Dick, Moe, Fulanita de Tal, and Vesta.
Saturday the 20th is marked by established acts and live fusion performances, featuring the hip hop and jazz of Roy Mercurio & TrasTesTrío at El Perro, the return of Ferdy Torres and Los Chicos de la Estación at Galileo Galilei, and the blues and soul of Jimmy Barnatán at Rincón del Arte Nuevo. On Sunday the 21st, coinciding with European Music Day, the series concludes with high-caliber performances in venues such as Café El Despertar, Candela, El Sol, Jazzville, and Peor Para el Sol, in a day that spans from jazz to flamenco fusion, from classic rap to groundbreaking chamber music.
