Madrid Fashion Week will kick off in the Sabatini Gardens with more than 60 designers
2026/08/10

The next edition of Madrid Fashion Week will begin on September 7th with an opening show in the Sabatini Gardens, opposite the north façade of the Royal Palace. The event, scheduled for 7:00 pm, will kick off ten days of programming featuring more than 60 designers through 45 runway shows, presentations, exhibitions, performances, and other fashion-related events.

The calendar will kick off with OMODA Madrid es Moda, held from September 7 to 10, and will continue with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, from the 14th to the 19th. The program will once again combine professional venues with iconic spaces in the capital, a formula with which the City Council seeks to link contemporary design with the city's heritage. According to municipal data, Fashion Week generates an economic and media impact of nearly 100 million euros.

Among the new features of this edition is the relocation of a large part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week program to the Communication and Arts Madrid-San Francisco de Sales campus of Nebrija University, in addition to the inclusion of venues such as the Greenhouse at the Crystal Palace in Arganzuela and the Cibeles Palace. The program will also include Palomo's tenth anniversary and the return of designers and brands such as Moisés Nieto, Alvarno, and Redondo Brand.

The Madrid City Council will allocate nearly two million euros to support Fashion Week in 2026. Of this amount, 1.3 million euros will be in the form of grants to encourage the participation of designers, while 400,000 euros will be earmarked for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and 250,000 euros for OMODA Madrid es Moda. The City Council will also collaborate by providing venues, handling administrative management, and promoting the events through urban advertising and institutional channels.
