The El Cañaveral neighborhood , in Madrid's Vicálvaro district, becomes an essential meeting point every second Sunday of the month with 'La Muestra de El Cañaveral' , an open-air market that unites local commerce, gastronomy, live music and family activities in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

Following the success of its first edition on December 15th, this initiative has become a unique addition to the municipal program "Everything is in Madrid," organized by the GESCOMER Association with the support of the Vicálvaro Municipal Council and the Department of Economy, Innovation, and Finance of the Madrid City Council. Its objective is to revitalize local commerce , attract visitors, and offer a complete cultural experience.

The event takes place on the provisional Gran Vía de Vicálvaro avenue , in the heart of El Cañaveral, and runs continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Each edition offers a wide and carefully curated selection of products ranging from food trucks and gourmet offerings to women's, children's, and vintage fashion, footwear, crafts, and home decor .

But 'La Muestra' isn't just a flea market: it's an experience designed for the whole family. Children's activities , workshops, and live shows ensure the little ones have fun while adults relax to the rhythm of live music in a safe and lively environment.
