LA ACERÍA: THE WINNING PROJECT OF THE MCDM 2020 AWARD
Last year 2020, the Madrid City Council , through the Madrid Capital de Moda project, convened the first edition of its MCDM award . Its objective was and is to grant recognition to creative and business development projects presented by designers of recognized prestige and trajectory. The Andalusian designer Moisés Nieto turned out to be the first winner of the prize with his project that is now available to the general public: La Hacería . This initiative is supported by the Strategic Plan for Subsidies 2020-2022 of the Government Area of Economy, Innovation and Employment , of the Madrid City Council through the General Directorate of Commerce and Hospitality , the Association of Fashion Creators of Spain (ACME) and Fundesarte , a reference institution in the development of national crafts.
La Hacería is a project that consists of a search engine in which to find work and information about women artisans .
