The second half of August keeps Madrid's cultural scene alive with events for all ages. Live music, theater, film, local festivals, and major international concerts take center stage in the final days of summer, offering a wide variety of ways to enjoy the city.

The program begins with the traditional Fiestas de La Paloma , which will be held from August 14 to 17 and will once again fill the streets of the La Latina neighborhood with concerts, popular activities, gastronomy and the traditional atmosphere that characterizes one of Madrid's most emblematic festivities.

On August 18, the Veranos de la Villa festival will present Jazz Jam , an event designed for lovers of jazz and musical improvisation. On August 20 and 21, the theater will take center stage with Two Thrones, Two Queens , a show that recreates the historical conflict between Elizabeth I of England and Mary Stuart. Also on August 21, the film Insidious: Beyond the Grave , the latest installment in the popular horror saga, will premiere in theaters.

Music will take center stage again on August 25th with a concert by Donny's Black Shoes , while on August 26th, cinemas will premiere Tad Jones and the Magic Lamp , a new adventure of the popular animated archaeologist. The final stretch of the month will be packed with major concerts, including Hermanos Gutiérrez , who will perform on August 28th, and The Weeknd , who will give three consecutive concerts on August 28th, 29th, and 30th as part of his highly anticipated After Hours Til Dawn Tour.
