Madrid, January 23, 2026 - The 46th edition of the International Tourism Fair concludes its first three days, dedicated exclusively to professionals, with a positive balance that reflects the excellent tourism performance and the forecast that it will continue in 2026.
After three days of business and knowledge-oriented professionals, FITUR opens its doors to travelers this weekend, who will be able to obtain information on a wide range of destinations thanks to the participation of 161 countries, 111 of them with official representation , as well as enjoy a varied agenda of activities prepared by the exhibitors.
This opening to the general public reinforces FITUR's position as a global tourism showcase and a direct connection point between destinations, businesses, and end travelers. With Mexico as the Partner Country , FITUR 2026 will offer a specific program geared towards travelers on Saturday, January 24, and Sunday, January 25, featuring experiential activities, cultural presentations, culinary offerings, and interactive spaces that will bring the diversity and richness of global tourism closer to the public.
Highlights of this edition include the replica of the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum in the area between Pavilions 2-4; the 16th Minube Travelers Meetup in Pavilion 10, which brings together more than a thousand people with Nico Abad as master of ceremonies and Kandy García 'The Backpacking Grandma' as special guest; the free tours of FITUR by Civitatis; the traditional FITUR Cruises treasure hunt; as well as numerous musical performances, regional dances, gastronomic tastings, craft workshops, and interesting contests and raffles, etc.
