To celebrate the San Isidro festivities, the Tetuán Municipal Market will host a tasting of traditional Madrid sweets this Monday, May 12th, as part of the "Sabor a San Isidro" initiative, organized by ASEMPAS in collaboration with the Madrid City Council, Todo Está en Madrid, and Mercados de Madrid. This event offers a chance to discover the city's most traditional confectionery through three of its most renowned producers.

The traditional "rosquillas del santo" (Saint's doughnuts), a sweet treat inseparable from patron saint festivals since the 19th century, are presented in five varieties: plain, glazed, Santa Clara, French, and Jubilee. Wafers, one of the most recognizable street sweets of Madrid's festival season, complete the selection, along with "violetas," small handmade candies with over a century of history linked to the La Pajarita chocolate shop and crafted by the Aznárez family for six generations.

An opportunity to enjoy the most authentic flavor of Madrid in one of the city's municipal markets.
