New initiatives at the senior care center thanks to the support of Madrid City Council. Las Ventas Market continues to consolidate its position as a meeting place for residents and visitors with new offerings that enrich community life. Since its opening, Local 118N has served as a reference point for senior care, thanks to subsidies provided by Madrid City Council, particularly through the Directorate General of Commerce, Economy, and Finance .

Starting in 2025, this approximately 70 m² space will expand its programming with a range of recreational, educational, and culinary activities, open to the general public. This initiative seeks to revitalize the market and transform it into a center of social activity beyond its traditional retail offerings.

Events and workshops from March to June

To anticipate this new phase, the market has already launched a calendar of events for the coming months, which includes tastings, workshops, and other experiences designed for all audiences. These activities will complement the daily presence of senior groups visiting the market from various locations in the Ciudad Lineal district, such as the Panama Canal Municipal Senior Center (CMM) and the Manuel Alexandre CMM .
