The 'Reading is a party' festival celebrates its third edition formulating wishes for the Madrid Book Fair

The universe of books' is the motto that will bring together booksellers, librarians, publishers, writers, illustrators and families at the Eugenio Trías Municipal Library in Madrid, located in El Retiro, next weekend, in the third edition of the Leer festival It's a party.

This is an event aimed at family audiences designed to create and strengthen readers, organized by four Madrid bookstores specializing in children's and youth literature: El Dragón Lector, Kirikú y la bruja , Liberespacio and Turuletras .

As a novelty, 'Reading is a party' is part of the programming that the Madrid Book Fair develops outside its usual 17 days through 'El vaivén de la Feria'. This initiative consists of holding activities related to reading in a double sense. First, the Book Fair goes, approaches, to other audiences, in this case those that an event like 'Reading is a party' manages to bring together; During its celebration, from May 26 to June 11, the 'Reading is a party' event will take place at the Fair. 'The swing of the Fair' linked to 'Reading is a party' will allow participants to formulate their wishes for the Fair and hang them on a tree intended for that purpose.

Activities and participants

As on previous occasions, families will be able to enjoy multiple activities around the book, such as a gymkhana, storytelling for babies, comics, superheroes and nature workshops. In addition, a space trip is scheduled, the authors who participate will sign their books and chat with everyone who comes to meet them. And all this will happen between 10:30 and 14:30, both on Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th.

The four bookstores that are organizing the festival this year under the slogan 'The universe of books' will be in charge of a bookstore , located inside the Eugenio Trías Municipal Public Library, where books can be purchased for all stages of the childhood.
