Madrid City Council, through the Directorate General of Cultural Heritage, has organized new free activities so that citizens and tourists can learn about the historic Beti Jai fronton .

Registration will open on Tuesday , March 25 at 10:00 a.m. , with more than 20,000 places available for four types of activities between April and September: guided tours, children's workshops, dramatized tours, and Basque pelota exhibitions .

Guided tours , which will take place between April and September, will provide an insight into the history and architecture of this iconic building, constructed in 1893 and declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 2011 .

The family workshops , from April 12 to July 27 , are aimed at children from six years old to introduce them to the sporting and cultural values of fronton.

The dramatized tour "A Round Trip Match," between April 5 and July 6 , will transport attendees to the Madrid of 1914 , reliving the passion for Basque pelota and the history of Beti Jai.

On June 14 and 15 , eight frontenis and pelota a mano matches will be held, with the participation of outstanding players and the collaboration of the Madrid Pelota Federation.
