THE XXV GETAFE HALF MARATHON IS BACK ON JANUARY 26

The 25th Getafe Half Marathon will take place next Sunday, January 26 , a sporting event in which participants will run 21 kilometers on an urban circuit approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.

The race will start at 10:30 a.m. from Juan de Borbón Avenue and will finish at the Juan de la Cierva stadium. Runners will have a maximum time of two and a half hours to complete the route, which is designed to combine competitiveness and accessibility.

The event is organised by the Artyneon Athletics Club in collaboration with Getafe City Council and has a limit of 4,000 participants . Registration will remain open until 24 January, with a cost of 28 euros per race number.

The general classification, both male and female, will have cash prizes : 800 euros for the first place, 600 euros for the second and 400 euros for the third. According to the half marathon regulations, the race may be suspended due to extraordinary weather conditions or force majeure.
