Next Saturday, January 18, the Association of Merchants of the Barrio de las Letras organizes the Mercado de las Ranas , a thematic market that seeks to promote culture, commerce and gastronomy in one of the most emblematic neighborhoods of Madrid.

The Mercado de las Ranas, which brings together more than 260 establishments , is an initiative promoted by the Association of Merchants of the Barrio de las Letras in collaboration with the Madrid City Council , the hotel sector and other local entities. This project aims to support the businesses in the neighborhood and attract more visitors, reinforcing the vitality of this historic area of the city.

Each edition of the Mercado de las Ranas revolves around a specific theme , which serves as a guiding thread for developing a varied programme of cultural, commercial and artistic activities , from exhibitions to interactive workshops. In addition, the hospitality venues actively participate with exclusive promotions, special menus and discounts.

The name of the market refers to the old Cantarranas street, currently known as Lope de Vega street, which runs through the Barrio de las Letras. This event is distinguished from other similar events by the format of uninterrupted opening of the commercial establishments, allowing visitors to explore their offer of products and services continuously throughout the day.
