Yesterday, Monday, September 7, 2026, Madrid Fashion Week began with the opening show of Omoda Madrid es Moda, in the central pond of the Sabatini Gardens, in front of the north facade of the Royal Palace.

More than 40 models showcased the creative proposals of 20 designers such as Devota & Lomba, Roberto Verino, Juana Martín, Dolores Promesas x Duyos, Maison Mesa or Roberto Torretta, among others, in this fashion show.

The OMODA Madrid es Moda program, which runs until the 10th, will continue with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFW), from September 14th to 19th. This edition will highlight the talent of a sector that makes a decisive contribution to the city's internationalization and the strengthening of the Madrid brand. In this context, Hannibal Laguna will receive the MBFW National Designer Award, while the International Designer Award will go to Agua by Agua Bendita, a brand supported by the Latin American Fashion Awards. Both awards are endorsed by the Madrid City Council.

The Madrid City Council has once again supported Fashion Week with a total contribution of €3.3 million, which includes subsidies to encourage designer participation, funding for MBFW and OMODA Madrid es Moda. The City Council also facilitates the use of iconic venues and assists with the necessary administrative and management procedures for the fashion shows and the protection of the surrounding areas.
