Who said that literature does not feed? Feed your imagination!

The Mario Vargas Llosa Municipal Public Library in collaboration with the Barceló Market and the School of Imaginators ,   With the purpose of encouraging literary creativity, promoting reading and, at the same time, demonstrating that literature can feed us, it announces the seventh edition of the 'Cuarto y Mitad' Story Contest.

• As in previous editions, the theme of the contest will be free, but in the texts submitted to the contest, it will have to appear, at least once: "Ojos de sugo " .
• Any person over the age of 15 residing in the Community of Madrid may participate. The works must be written in Spanish, with a maximum length of 1000 words and a title that does not exceed 10 words.
• The deadline for submitting the works will be from August 14 to October 8, 2023, both inclusive, through an electronic form, available during those dates in "Related information", in PDF format.
  
• Each contestant may submit a single story.
• 10 stories will be selected, which will be published on the Public Libraries Web Portal , among which the three winning stories of the contest will come out, who will receive the following prizes:
  1. First prize:
     • Bibliographical material donated by the Municipal Printing - Book Arts.
     • A purchase letter valued at €350. to use in Mercado Barceló products.
     • One month course of the School of Imaginators.
  2. Second prize:
     • Bibliographical material donated by the Municipal Printing - Book Arts.
     • A purchase letter valued at €250 to use on products from the Barceló Market.
     • One month course of the School of Imaginators.
  3. Third award:
     • Bibliographical material donated by the Municipal Printing - Book Arts.
     • A purchase letter valued at €150 to use on products from the Barceló Market.
