THE 29TH EDITION OF THE LESGAICINEMAD INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL BEGINS

The 29th edition of Lesgaicinemad, the International LGBTIQ+ Film Festival of Madrid organized by the Triángulo Foundation, will take place from November 13 to 24 in different venues in the capital.

This edition will feature more than 110 feature films from around the world, 12 of them Spanish and mostly directed by women . The festival will begin with the screening of the documentary “ A Quiet Man ”, a biography of the figure of activist Miguel Ángel Sánchez , a pioneer in the work of LGBTIAQ+ visibility.

Acclaimed actress Marta Nieto will present to the public her first feature film as a director, “ La Mitad de Ana ”. Other titles include “ Who Wants to Marry an Astronaut ” by David Matamoros, or “ Por donde Pasa al Silencio ” by Sandra Romero.

During the festival, 25 national fiction short films will compete to be part of the preselection for the Goya Awards . Discover the full program here.
