MADRID CITY COUNCIL HOMAGES ITS CENTENNIAL ESTABLISHMENTS

The Madrid City Council has paid tribute to the city's hundred-year-old establishments with an event held at the Westin Palace Hotel, chaired by the deputy mayor of Madrid, which was attended by nearly a hundred merchants and hoteliers from this select club of "seniors " who, generation after generation, have forged the history of our city.

The more than 160 centenarians of Madrid embody the value of CRAFTSMANSHIP , inherited from generation to generation; the EFFORT to collect a witness that protects the TRADITION ; the PRIDE of being part of HISTORY , in balance with TRADITION .

All these values have been highlighted by Begoña Villacis, who has highlighted the special nature of Madrid's shops, restaurants and hotels that make our city have a singular and unique commercial base in the world and underlined that " our centenarians are the treasure most precious in Madrid" , applauding his capacity for resistance, effort and adaptation.
