21 Districts fills June with circus, music, dance, workshops and outdoor activities in Madrid's neighborhoods
2026/05/07
The 21 Districts cultural revitalization program continues in June with a schedule that covers much of the city, offering something for everyone: music, dance, circus, visual arts, workshops, and outdoor family activities. It's a particularly busy month that brings culture to the neighborhoods with a diverse program, most of which is free.
The month kicks off on June 1st at the Moncloa Lighthouse with Encounters at Altitude: Intensive Party, a movement practice led by A Tempo de Furia. On June 3rd, Villa de Vallecas hosts the music creation and technology workshop by Band for Vibes. On the 5th, Villaverde welcomes Verberecho: A House on the Coast, an intergenerational art mediation workshop with BajoTeja.
The weekend of the 6th and 7th features several simultaneous events: solar observation in Barajas with the UAM Foundation, outdoor Body Marbling in Puente de Vallecas, iridescent dioramas and contemporary circus in Villaverde, the Patáx fusion concert —jazz, folklore, Afro-Cuban, funk and flamenco— in Usera, and juggling, aerial and balancing workshops with Circo Diverso also in Puente de Vallecas.
On June 9, Teresa Entretejidos' espadrille workshop arrives in Barajas, while Tetuán hosts "How Long is Forever?", a reflective and playful performance by the Cazapeonzas collective. From the 11th onwards, the program continues non-stop: Scissors Cinema in Villaverde, the participatory dance experience "4 Scenes, 4 Styles" by SENSË in Retiro on the 12th, and the LED Light & Magic juggling show by Circo Diverso in Barajas that same day.
On the 13th and 14th, two more events are scheduled: a concert by Teo Lucadamo with Los Más Capitos in Usera, and Campi's theater performance RATS in Fuencarral-El Pardo and Chamberí, respectively. The "You Conduct the Orchestra" series, featuring the European Youth Orchestra of Madrid, also has dates in June: June 5th in Salamanca, June 7th in Fuencarral-El Pardo, and June 13th in Chamartín. The sound fiction workshop "What's Playing?" concludes its run on the 17th in San Blas-Canillejas.
The month ends with tocajugarMADERA on the 18th in Villa de Vallecas —traditional wooden games in large format for the whole family—, and with Make Me Roll, the roller dance party, on the 19th in Vicálvaro and the 20th in Chamartín.
